Beta .08

Been out of town with my family for Thanksgiving, so I can’t say I spent a huge amount of time on this update, but there’s a few issues I want to make sure I just fixed that have been popping up recently.

Fixes:

– Spiders should behave while off screen now. This issue was especially apparent while kicking spiders off screen to the right into the small platforms by the cannon…

– Falling through slanted platforms while low jumping / kicking.

– Added some speed to the landing, that should stop the landing from the kick from feeling sluggish.

– little stupid platform tweaks like always…

– Juggle the snailshell in the air without it landing or hitting anything ๐Ÿ˜€

– Finally remembered to add the caching progress bar in there, not a big deal, but I think it’s neat

    if yopu filter out all the ‘spam’ you’ll probably delete all exept 10 messages, all that have the word jello in them ๐Ÿ˜‰

    how about glueing jello to a tree is that possible??

    pretty sure I’m gonna ejaculate by the time this game’s done. =) Not to be explicit or anything, but this REALLY is the best flash game I’ve ever played. <3.

    also, found a little sum’n sum’n regarding a “glitch” or something. Not sure if it’s MEANT to be there or not…but every time I hit the shift key, THIS happens:

    whether or not it’s meant to be there or not I dunno. But that happens to all the platforms, including the ropes.

    It’s not a big deal, it doesn’t really affect anything, as long as you don’t press shift. But it surprised me when I accidentally hit the shift key. I spent 5 minutes hitting different keys trying to figure out what did it. =PP

    Also, just want to say, I really like how you’re making things more colorful this go-round, while still keeping the sketchy-style to it. I look forward to a more challenging boss this go round too. Angry Penguin was extremely badass though, I gotta say. =PP

    Luksy made the actual game, I programmed the tile engine that it’s running on (though I admit it’s not as polished as I’d like it to be) when we were both in San Fransisco sometime in August. I also programmed the telekinesis part… So everything but concept and art I suppose…

    Nah, it would take the thing probably a rather long time to cache the animations, though I would have no idea how to go through all the frames to cache them (I nest clips like crazy), and the FPM vectors are so simple I don’t think it would be worth it.

    1000’s of cached stick man frames would sure eat your RAM, too…
