Okay, so a few things had to be left out of the initial release of World 2, but there is one feature that made it in that I thought you guys especially would enjoy.
On every level, there is a snail, and somewhere else on that level is a golfball hole. Sink the shell, your pants turn the same color as the flag at the hole. Surprise surprise, the hole in level 3 is based on the little challenge that this site created while playing the beta!

On a sidenote, the Fancy Golfball challenge was created in direct respose to anyone who said that World 1 was too easy π
And guys, please, no spamming up this thread like the others…
As cool as it can be to have different fancy colors, there is no way to change it once you’ve changed level.
It seems the extras room is missing.

All bad/good things on FPA 2:
– Veeery big – at least som compresion.
– No music – I like the music in FPA 1, and I think that in FPA 2 there may have be also some music.
+ No music – ItΒ΄s smaller.
+ ItΒ΄s on armor games just a day and it have 33,000 plays.
ok a few small bugs:
on the level with the oil when you are running very fast on one of the strips, and the shell is in front of you you sometimes run through the shell
on the test level (you know the one we all love;P) one of the doors links to the old extra but with a grey background. and the other door to the good extra, but when you die in there you get warped back to the beginning of the test level.

Aurel300, Brad had to omit the music for now because of the release date. It will eventually be added, there isn’t “Music by GeirArnold and TommyLM” for nothing π The deadline was a bit too much for his musical geniuses to meet at teh time

styx and wjuk have the right idea brad, u could do so much better with fpa, it has so much potential and could be so great if u gave it ur all. π plus, id kinda like to see an options door on the menue screen so tht once u get a new fancy pants colour u could acces it from there…maybey? justa thought, cuz it cud save sum majour time instead of having to go get the snailshell in the hole all over again…
yh but the man is still a freaking genius. its like a day after release and hes got like 65, 000+ hits and diggs on it, he has a MAJOUR fan base now. he needs to make with the goods. π
i got all 6 colors the first time playing, so it took me about 1 hour after the game was released…. Also, put in the extra room, so i can change colors without doing it over again! also, WJUK’s name needs to be in the credits!!! he did more than me, but hes not in there!! What the crap! Really!
@ foodmansam: yeah theres no way of changing the color of your pants once you exit/beat the game. In the next version, it’d be cool to have a “change pants” option in the main menu AND the in game pause menu.
@ Brad: i highly recommend putting WJUK in the credits… furrealz.
2 questions about lvl. 5. the first was, what are the letters near the candle? I know the second word is ammo, but what’s the first?
the second was, What is that candle for?!? It does absolutely nothing!!!
@foodmansam: I’ll be updating the game continuously, the ‘full’ version should be up within a week, hopefully sooner.
And I dunno, I just felt like making FPM jump over a candlestick… psh, haha.
oh no a glitch…
it’s in the forest-y extra level. On the lower vine near the end of the level (the one with the 5 point swirlies). Go all the way to the right and drop down. you land on a random platform with swirlies and a door. if you go to the door, it’ll take you to the beta level, but you don’t come back out of the door.

I second Gazzo on that one. I spent the better part of half an hour trying to figure out that cave (my job was having a bit of a lull at that moment, you see). I was at least hoping for an invisible door or something. Maybe a trophy…?
DrNeroCF: You may have answered this question at an earlier time, but I could not find it. Is World 2 programmed in AS2 or AS3?

Haha, I was going to say the same thing. If you want music, just open up FP1 and let it run in the background.
@Brad: Did you use PNG files for the backgrounds and load them at the beginning of each level or are they all vectors? I’m using bitmaps on the game I’m working on now and I’m a little worried about file size, but that seems like a good solution…
Pictures of what you’re talking about with the spiders would be great.
As for everyone who’s talking about parts of levels that don’t really make sense, remember… the trophies aren’t in there yet π
Ok. There was a level like 2.) in FPA1, but i couldn’t find a door or anything else there, that’s why i thought that that’s a bug.

@Kajenx: careful, the bitmaps are very heavy files. Convert them into vectors using the “Modify > Bitmap > Convert Bitmap” in Flash.
Love the game. Just a couple of things about the Adam Phillips level. #1, the first time I got there, I spontaneously died in the bottom right corner of the level. #2, When I go in the secret door, it automatically warps me to world 3 (the beta level) and the door never opens to let me in. I’m stuck in the twilight zone!!!
Oh yeah, The running on the ceiling bug rocks, you shouldn’t fix that one.

you know what i just noticed, there are no “standing still” frames (like PF lying down and stuff) are you going to put those in? because on your post in NG you posted an image off those grapics π

Hey, brad, who made the layout of the level by The Swain? Because if the Swain made it he did a great job. If you made the overall layout, sweet job! I really think there should be more urban levels. I liked it, because it seemed like i was urban climbing. If you dont know what urban climbing (or running, whatever the heck it is) you’re pure evil. I say this all because i have to admit, That level was the best FPA experience to me ever.

It seems to just be another version of the tele bug.
Also: When you cannon up into a spider it’s buggy. I defeated a spider that way twice, and once I got transported back to the start of the level. (I think I got hurt, but I’m not sure)

@ brad: yeah i also noticed that bug foodmansam mentioned, where u jump over the world one spring and u hit an invisible platform; at the time i hadnt found out about this blog so i didnt report it, but foodmansams comment reminded me. i banged my head and the i got stuck underneath it and then i was floating upside down walking on it. it was actually kindof cool π course then i was stuck and i had to quit the game. π
@foodman: Well Swain’s level is based on the future setting from Timesquad, which was actually the first movie that I saw Blockhead in.
@ted: You could do a screen capture, or you could ask me if you want something higher resolution, heh.

lmfao, I’m not much of a bug-finding person myself. I much rather play through whole, completed games. With the enjoyment of knowing that my playtime will not be impeded by glitches and bugs.
Now, if Brad were to have a focus group about what should be in the next FPA game I’d be game. I’m amazing at putting out ideas.
