Update: EEEEEEE I’M DOWNLOADING FROM PSN NOW

(Just to clarify, I’m in the US, don’t know when it’s hitting for everyone else)

So here we are. Tomorrow is PSN launch, XBLA right after. Can’t say I’ve ever had so much of my future riding on one game before. I’d be a lot more nervous, but I spent a good deal of time today playing around with online. 4 player platforming, no lag, it’s absolutely incredible. King of the Hill matches feel amazing. I’m not sure what Over the Top did to pull off this online wizardry, but I’m blown away by how well it works.

Of course, there’s a lot more to the game than online King of the Hill, and I’m still amazed by the excitement I’m seeing online for the game. We made the best game that we possibly could, so now all I can do is cross my fingers. I don’t think any fans of the original Flash games (hey that’s you guys!) will be disappointed, I’m super proud that we were able to keep the spirit of the Flash games, while still giving way more content than any 10 dollar game has a right to.

To celebrate, I’ll be hopping online for some King of the Hill and Races on the PS3 on Tuesday, and on the 360 on Wednesday. Hmm, wonder if that old Bluetooth headset still works… I’m DrNeroCF on both, see you guys online!

Just don’t forget to play through the Story at your own pace later on, there’s plenty to see and do on that side, too. And I want to see everyone online decked out in crazy accessory combinations, so you’ll have to play some Story mode to earn those!

And I have no idea when exactly the game will be up on PSN, but I promise the wait is worse for me than for you!

(Please don’t ask about Wii or Steam versions in the comments, we hear ya! 😛 )

    so I am guessing the fancy pants adventures is not going to be on any other consoles, who cares? the flash version is limited, but no one can limit out fancyness… bad grammer… fancyness

    Well… according to eu.playstation.com, the game will be released 20. of april, and not 19. as you said 🙁

    Just checked playstation store… the game is not there yet

    hmmm, maybe we get to choose a new thing that fpm can do? 😀 Would be awesome. Also brad, I would really like to congratulate you, because you made a one of a kind game and everyone’s going to like it. and the best thing is with games like mario, you don’t get to change your looks and you see the same boring italian plumber running on you tv but fancy pants man you can edit, even without dressing him up, he will never loose his fancy :D.

    When it is out we will hope to see a squeal :D, actually, that would be AWESOME!

    Guilhermus Magnus: It is available, you can play it at many places, umm, newgrounds and sites like that as well as http://www.thefancypantsadventures.com But everyone wants the pencil on the sneak peek so it is kind of a problemo. heck, search the fancy pants adventures sneak peek in google :D. Plus, the full world 3 flash game will come out in a few weeks so you can play that when it is out. Because I share the same problem as you, I don’t have a ps3 or an xbox 360 but I am happy for everyone who does 😀

    Edit: I also clicked on Guilhermus Magnus’s name and guess what came up on my computer? iwishtohaveone is not an available site, try spelling it correctly or something like that 😀

    Let me just say, gratz Brad. It was a long road getting here (I remember when the thoughts of a console version were just a mere rumour).

    I’ll definitely pick up FPA from XBL when I can.

    Sorry to double post, or be stupid, but I don’t even know how to use XBLA, or the marketplace, and I don’t even have xbox live yet!!! My family said I need some 1-month free membership card!

    edit: o yeah guys if you don have a new console the cheaper way to go would be to get ps3 because online has no charge. except for the internet cable that you have to buy.

    i dont even want the pencil i just relized that it would take away some of the excitment from tomarow

    @Guihermusc Magnus: Yea, i kinda figured. You can make one with http://www.weebly.com for free. I did it once, but if you are going to make a free one there are limitations, should be enough stuff to just make a website and talk about stuff :D. You can upload files if they are small and photos and youtube vids and other (once again) stuff.

    @brad: AWESOME. now just please release pencil while I wait for world 3 flash version 😀

    Finished the main story not long ago and I’ve got to say, it was hilarious fun. The hardest part seemed to be the level consisting solely of moving platforms, simply because it was extremely easy for others to screw you over! 😀

    Really enjoyed it and I recommend to everyone else! I didn’t expect World 1 & World 2 to be in there too (with new stuff too!). That’s awesome.

    Oh and I’m currently 8th (or something) on the story leaderboards and Brad is 52nd. 😛

    I bought the game today 😛 got 45% of story mode completed

    To make it simple: The game i awesome. Too bad i have a quite small television, so it’s hard to see the players when they zoom all the way out…

    @Brad WHOAA world 1 2 AND 3. what a crowning acheivment! but world 2 level 2 bonus level is still the most frustrating level, when a pirate lunges forward then when he stops he drops his non-sword hand, and in one of those clips the shoulder and arm are undone, and when a toothpick ninja (arent they just adorable?! but they are pescky) and when a toothpick ninja strikes, his bandanna dissapears. everything has lost a little bit of life because everything hugs the floor EXACTLY! (youre not to blame) you can see it in the spiders, and FPM when hes running at full pelt. but otherwise i dont see how i am EVER going to go back to the PC version! although i managed to get no health and live, i was fighting spiders and i got hurt just as i stomped on one. im not sure if it works. also, at the angry penguin, make him bash the right wall, power stomp him and go high, wall run, jump off, and spin attack to the right. you should go over the edge.(not complaning) oh, and also, i dont think you are ever going to get your pencil back! great work over all. 5 stars! (WTH? massive post) second post BTW

    @Waffe: Think about it this way, drop-in drop-out co-op would be nice. But if that’s the only thing they can complain and nit-pick about, everything else is solid.

    @Brad: For the completionists out there, it’d be nice to mark squiggles you haven’t got yet in red (when replaying a level). There can be hundreds of them in a level and it’s hard to know which you haven’t got yet.
